Same! If we need to go in and we have the dogs we make sure one of us stays out

Ditto, I'd never leave Molly outside a supermarket, or any public place where I would lose sight of her. I hope these people get their dog back though, they've learnt that lesson the hard way.

I wouldn't either - but it still doesn't make it right for someone to take the dog.
I really hope they get their dog back soon.

Never! I once left D'Arcy in my locked and parked car outside the supermarket and paid the security guard to watch him!

I once, while walking Pippin, needed to go to a shop (I had forgotten the 'poo' bags.) I simply stood in the doorway of the shop and attracted the attention of one of the staff who happily fetched what I needed without me having to go in.
I hate to see dogs tied up outside shops, they are usually barking or generally getting themselves stressed at not being able to see 'Mummy' or 'Daddy'
